Android 12 changed the look of the Quick Settings: from 6 circular buttons to 2×2 tiles. [Sample image](https://cdn.mobilesyrup.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/android-12-notifications-shade.jpg).
I much preferred the older interface: it offered two more options in half the space; it let you swipe to 6 more buttons without having to pull down the extended settings; and even visually it looked nicer: the new tiles remind me Windows Phones and feel out of place.
I talked about it casually with a few friends and everyone I talked to has a strong preference for the older style. It’s surprising that neither Android 12 or 13 offer any option to configure the look or revert to the old style.
I’m curious to hear your opinion on these two styles. Which one do you prefer and why?
